It&amp;#039;s the lowest among three peak&amp;#039;s in the Chandra Massif. It is situated in the [[Gangotri National Park]]. The elevation of Chandra Parbat (South) is {{convert|6557|m|ft|0}} and its prominence is {{convert|115|m|ft|0}}. It is joint 74th highest located entirely within the Uttrakhand. [[Nanda Devi]], is the highest mountain in this category. It lies 1.3&amp;amp;nbsp;km SSW of [[Chandra Parbat I]] {{convert|6739|m|ft|0}} its nearest higher neighbor. [[Satopanth]] {{convert|7075|m|ft|0}} lies 4.1&amp;amp;nbsp;km WSW and it is 6.2&amp;amp;nbsp;km NNE of [[Swachhand]] {{convert|6721|m|ft|0}}.
