According to the [[2011 Census of India]], Changual had a total population of 3,737, of which 1,892 (51%) were males and 1,645 (49%) were females. There were 445 persons in the age range of 0–6 years. Changual Kandarpapur Pranabesh Vidyayatan is a Bengali-medium co-educational institution established in 1959. The school has facilities for teaching from class V to class XII.
