&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Charummoodu&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a major junction and town in [[Mavelikkara]] taluk of the [[Alappuzha district]], of [[Kerala]] state in [[India]]. Charummoodu is fast growing town in southeast borders of Alappuzha.The Vetticode Nagaraja Temple is located 4 kilometers from the town. Chunakkara thiruvayiroor mahadeva temple, one is the most important shiva temple in kerala is about 2 kilometers away. &lt;br /&gt;

The junction between Kayamkulam - Punalur Road and Kollam - Theni National Highway 183 is at Charummoodu.The strategic location of Charummoodu makes it a transportation hub. Charummoodu connects the villages of Nooranadu, Thamarakkulam, Chunakkara, etc. To Kayamkulam and Mavelikkara towns&lt;br /&gt;

GVHSS Chunakkara is one of the major schools in this region. VVHSS Thamarakkulam and CBM HSS Nooranadu are also situated in this region. Sree Budha College of Engineering is the main engineering institution here.&lt;br /&gt;

It is located 12&amp;amp;nbsp;km from [[Kayamkulam]] town. It is a main junction on the intersection of [[State Highway 5 (Kerala)|SH-5]] (KP Road [[Kayamkulam]] - [[Punalur]] road) and [[National Highway 183 (India)]], connecting [[Kollam]] and [[Theni]]. Charummoodu is located at the border of the [[Mavelikkara Thamarakkulam|Thamarakkulam]], [[Nooranad]] and [[Chunakkara]] Panchayaths and the second largest town in the Mavelikkara Taluk. There is a proposal to form Charummoodu Panchayath by joining parts of [[Chunakkara]], [[Nooranad]] and [[Thamarakkulam]] panchayaths.&lt;br /&gt;
