&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is one of the main [[Hindu]] temple in [[Kerala]] state, [[south India]]. This temple is in [[Cherai]] village in [[Ernakulam district]] of Kerala. The temple is maintained by &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vinjhana Vardhini Sabha&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (V. V Sabha). This temple is the one and only temple in Asia which is chathurmukha kovil(sree kovil with four side doors)   It also known as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Malayala palani&amp;#039;&amp;#039; മലയാള പഴനി or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Muruga]] Temple&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. the main god is subrahmanyan, but the name of the temple is dedicated for sreegowreeswaran (sivan= father of subrahnanyan). The &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple festival&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is one of the  main  festivals in the Eranakulam district. The festival happens every year towards the last 2 weeks of January or first 2 weeks of February. The main attractions are [[Pooram|caparisoned elephant march]] (around 20-30 elephants).&lt;br /&gt;

There is one more famous temple in Cherai, which is &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Azheekkal Sree Varaha Temple&amp;#039;&amp;#039; famous for its beautiful [[Temple car|chariot]].&lt;br /&gt;
