== Location ==
CEAL is situated in the heart of Attingal, which is approximately 28 kms from Trivandrum Central. The college is situated on NH66 and is less than 400 metres from the KSRTC Bus Stand, Attingal.

== Admission ==
Admission to the courses is on an annual basis and is based on the All Kerala Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Controller of Entrance Examinations, Government of [[Kerala]]. The admissions to the free/merit seats and management seats are through the Central Allotment Process conducted by the Controller of Entrance Examinations, Government of [[Kerala]]. The proportion of seats are as follows: free/merit seats 50%, management seats 35% (as aforementioned allotment to both these categories are through the Central Allotment Process ), the remaining 15% seats come under the NRI quota.

There are 3 departments, with an annual intake of 180 students - 60 in each department.

=== Electronics & Communication ===
With a vision to generate competent manpower in the field of electronics engineering, the department was established in the year 2004 with an annual intake of 60 students.

=== Computer Science ===
Established in 2004, the major objective of the department is to help the students achieve their goals providing in-depth knowledge in fundamental courses & getting them exposed to latest technologies. It also aims to improve the personality of students by making them a part of different training programmes. This department has developed and maintains Kerala Legislative Assembly’s live On demand Webcasting project.

=== Electrical & Electronics ===

The Department of Electrical Engineering started in the year 2011, offers a vivacious environment for graduate educations in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It is one of the developed and well-equipped departments in the institution. The vision of the department is to provide the leadership to achieve excellence in the field of Electrical Engineering and to create technical manpower of global standards as Electrical Engineering with capabilities of accepting new challenges.

====ZEUS====
ZEUS is the [[Electrical and Electronics Engineering]] students' association of CEAL. It was launched on 21 January 2012. The association aims at improving the technical and industrial knowledge of the students and strives to keep them abreast with developments in electrical engineering field.
