&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Damodar Khushaldas Botadkar&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was a Gujarati language poet of early 20th century.&lt;br /&gt;

==Life==&lt;br /&gt;
Botadkar was born in [[Botad]] on 27 November 1870. He had primary education and started teaching at age of thirteen. He tried multiple businesses but failed. In 1893, he went to [[Bombay]] with [[Vaishnav]] [[Pushtimarg]] saint and started editing their religious publication. He learned [[Sanskrit]] there and returned to home in 1907 due to health issues. Botadkar published a play titled &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Swayamvar Vidhithi Sukhi Dampati nu Natak&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. His earlier poem cillections include &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Gokulgeeta&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rasvarnan&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Subodh Kavyasangraha&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. His Sanskrit-laden poetry collections &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Kallolini&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1912), &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Srotsvini&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1918), &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nirjharini&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ( 1921) were followed by &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ras-tarangini&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1923),  the folk and traditional &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rasa&amp;#039;&amp;#039; or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Garba (dance)|Garba]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; styled poetry with simple and traditional tunes and diction. It was chiefly focused on traditional family life and styles of females and social life of that time. They are termed as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Rasa&amp;#039;&amp;#039; poems.
