&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Datta Ganpat Bhagat&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (born 13 June 1945 in Waghi village of [[Nanded district]], [[Maharashtra]]) is an Indian [[Marathi people|Marathi]] [[playwright]], [[B. R. Ambedkar|Ambedkarite]] thinker and one of the leaders of the [[Dalit]] theater movement in Marathi. His other play &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Wata Palwata&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Routes and Escapes) is also well known and included in the collection of Indian plays Drama Contemporary by Erin B Mee. He is also noted for his literary criticism, particularly the essay &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Dalit chetna aur Marathi Dalit Rangmanch&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Dalit consciousness and Marathi Dalit theater).
