==Background==&lt;br /&gt;
Debu Deodhar graduated from [[Film and Television Institute of India]], [[Pune]] with a specialization in cinematography. He began work as a cinematographer in 1972 as an assistant [[cameraman]]. His 38-year career over more than twentyfive films culminated with his final film, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Marmabandh&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2010).&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;Business of Cinema&amp;quot;/&amp;gt;  He was cinematographer for his wife&amp;#039;s first-ever film, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Lapandav]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1993), for which she won the [[National Film Awards|National Film Award]] [[Silver Lotus Award|Silver Lotus]] for &amp;#039;Best Marathi Feature Film&amp;#039;.
