Deepak regularly worked on short films and was closely associated with [[Karthik Subbaraj]], eventually featuring in two anthology films released by the director, ''[[Bench Talkies - The First Bench]]'' (2015) and ''[[Aviyal (film)|Aviyal]]'' (2016).
