Kapur has a BTech and MS in [[chemical engineering]] (from [[Banaras Hindu University]] and the [[University of Minnesota]] respectively) and a [[Ph.D.]] in [[public policy]] from [[Princeton University]].<ref name=casi/><ref name=cgd/> He taught at [[Harvard University|Harvard College]], where he received the Joseph R.
