Aravind's father [[D. Srinivas (politician)|D. Srinivas]] served as a Member of Parliament ([[Rajya Sabha]]) and a minister for the state of [[Andhra Pradesh]].<ref name=":1" /> His father also served as the president of [[Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee]]. He defeated former [[Telangana Rashtra Samithi|TRS]] MP [[K. Kavitha]], the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister, [[K.
