'''Dilshad Garden''' is a large housing colony located in [[East Delhi]], which was primarily developed by [[Delhi Development Authority]]. Dilshad Garden falls under the both [[Shahdara district|Shahdara]] and [[Seemapuri (Delhi Assembly constituency)|Seemapuri]] constituency of the legislative assembly. Thus, a part of Dilshad Garden falls under [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] of Seemapuri [[Vidhansabha]] Shri Rajender Pal Gautam and its other part falls under the MLA of Shahdara Vidhansabha Shri Ram Niwas Goyal.

Dilshad Garden is a residential locality in North East New Delhi. Over several years the locality has developed at a slow pace but is now considered one of the best localities in New Delhi. Dilshad Garden is divided into several blocks starting from A to R and several pockets A to SG. Every block has its own market and parks. Most of the residential development is in the form of New Delhi Development Authority (DDA) flats. The Dear park is a public park with lush green grounds in Dilshad Garden.

It is a solid educational hub with schools such as Hansraj Smarak School, Greenways Modern School and Red Cross Society School and colleges such as University College of Medical Sciences and the Florence Nightingale College of Nursing. For all medical emergencies, residents have Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Swami Dayanand Hospital and Jivan Jyoti Hospital right next door.

Retail centers such as the Cross River Mall, Unity One Mall and Mahagun Metro Mall are within a 7 km radius of the locality. The area also boasts of other social amenities such as parks for recreation and sports centers. McDonald's, Burger King, Dominos, Haldiram’s and many others are in 2km radius.

The Red Line of the Delhi Metro was the first corridor to be inaugurated, and this line is soon going to get a major makeover soon. The Dilshad Garden station on this line would be the first to get a facelift as development work, including maintenance, beautification of parking areas, footpath, frontage would be carried out soon.
