Its headquarters is in [[Haflong]], [[Dima Hasao district]].

==History==
The North Cachar Hills Autonomous District Council was created on April 29, 1952, under Article 244(2) of the [[Sixth Schedule]] to the Constitution of India. Later it was recognized as an autonomous council.
