It got its name from a very small seasonal river by the same name. It is located at 27°31&amp;#039;28&amp;quot;N and 96°8&amp;#039;33&amp;quot;E, geographically. == Communities ==&lt;br /&gt;
Diyun Circle is mostly populated by the [[chakma people|Chakma tribe]]. The Chakmas are followers of Theravada Buddhism. Theirs culture similar with Myanmar and CHT of Bangladesh.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Buddhist monasteries cover the Diyun town where people gather to follow teachings of Buddha and get the blessings from the Buddha the monks. Oldest monastery is Diyun Temple. Largest is Sadhanarama Vihara which situated at Jyotsnapur Village under Diyun circle. It’s one of biggest Buddhist monastery and tourist attractions place.&lt;br /&gt;

Chakmas have Indian calendar new year(Baisaki) celebration on mid of the April. It’s taken 3 days of celebration like Phul Bizu celebrate with flowers, Mhul Bizu invite guest to the house and feed them and Nuo Bojor which mean New Year and it celebrate by paying respect to elders.&lt;br /&gt;
