'''Dosmoche''' is a festival celebrated in [[Ladakh]], India. Dosmoche is also known as the "Festival of Scapegoat" and is one of Ladakh's most popular prayer festivals.

==History==
Dosmoche was started by the rulers of Ladakh.<ref name="oneIndia"/> The festival was started during kingdom of King Lhachen Gongdup/ Lha-chen-Dnos-grub (1295–1320).<ref name="oneIndia"/><ref>{{cite book|title=Antiquities of Indian Tibet|year = 1992|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=WG4J4IKd014C&pg=PA98|publisher=Asian Educational Services|isbn=978-81-206-0769-9|pages=98–}}</ref> He fought two battles with invaders from Nyungti (Kullu of Himachal Pradesh) to inhibit the exterminatory forces of the battles.<ref name="oneIndia"/> Sacred mask dances which is known as [[Cham dance]] are carried out in the courtyard of the old chapel.
