&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;E. Vasu&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a [[Malayalam language]] writer from [[Kerala state]], [[South India]]. Best known for his 1966 novel &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chuvappunada&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Vasu has written about forty works, including novels, short stories, travelogues and essays.{{Citation needed|date= April 2018}}&lt;br /&gt;

==Biography==&lt;br /&gt;
E. Vasu was born in 1935, in [[Naduvattom, Malappuram|Naduvattom]] in [[Kozhikode district]], to Chanthukkutty and Unnooli.{{Citation needed|date= April 2018}} He had his formal schooling from [[Beypore]] and [[Feroke]] high schools. He obtained a higher diploma in co-operation and a bachelor&amp;#039;s degree in Economics.{{Citation needed|date= April 2018}} He started his professional career as a government employee and worked in various departments such as Agriculture, Co-operation, Development etc. Vasu made a mark for himself as a novelist with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chuvappunada&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Redtape&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, 1966) which brought out the red-tapism of the governmental machinery.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{cite book|title=The Growth of the novel in India, 1950-1980|author=P. K. Rajan|year=1989}}&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; Vasu has written about forty literary works, including novels, short stories, travelogues and essays.
