During the [[2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election]], Ejya was selected as the [[Rashtriya Janata Dal]] candidate for [[Mohiuddinnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Mohiuddinnagar]] seat ahead of sitting MLA, [[Ajay Kumar Bulganin]], who had represented the area twice before.
