Later this place became known as ''Erriyicha Puram'' or ''Errinna Puram'', and eventually Eripuram.<br />

The road to the east of [[Iritty]] connects to [[Mysore]] and [[Bangalore]]. The nearest railway station is [[Pazhayangadi]] on Mangalore-[[Palakkad]] line. <br />
