Shinde has received for his poetry three Maharashtra state awards and also Vikhe Patil Award, Damani Literature Award, Asmitadarsha Award, and Parimal Award.<br />

He been selected to preside over ''Marathwada Sahitya Sammelan'' which was scheduled to be held in December 2009.
