Froilano Machado was born in [[Vasco da Gama, Goa|Vasco da Gama]]. His native village was [[Nagoa]] de [[Verna, Goa|Verna]]. Machado completed his [[Bachelor of Arts]] degree at [[St. Xavier's College, Mumbai|St. Xavier's College]] at [[Bombay]] (now [[Mumbai]]).
