The &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Gamalla&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; are an Indian [[caste]] whose traditional occupation was that of [[Toddy tapper|toddy tapping]]. The Gamalla community of [[Andhra Pradesh]] and the then [[Madras State]] was classified by the [[Kalelkar Commission|First Backward Classes Commission]] as an [[Other Backward Class]] in India&amp;#039;s [[positive discrimination]] system for socio-economically deprived communities.
