Gampalagudem falls under the administration of Gampalagudem Gram panchayat [https://mpanchayat.ap.gov.in/dashBoardMandWise.jsp?stcode=28&modCode=260&dcode=106&mcode=1518&selopt=1&prfrom=null&prupto=null]. It is in turn a part of Gampalagudem mandal, a constituency mandal of [[Tiruvuru (SC) (Assembly constituency)|Tiruvuru Assembly constituency]]. There were 776 children in the 0–6 year age group of which 417 were boys and 359 girls. Agriculture is the main occupation of the village.
