&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Goukhothang, Raja&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ({{circa|1821}}–1872) was a prince from the [[Guite people|Guite]] family of [[Zomi]], also known as [[Chin people|Chins]] in Myanmar ([[Burma]]) and [[Paite people|Paite]] in [[India]].&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;He was also recorded as Go Khaw Thang or Go Khua Thang in common local address, or even as Gokothang or Kokutung by B. S. Carey and H. N. Tuck. Quotations, whether favorable or not, were also made in various publications, e.g., K. B. Singh, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;An Introduction to Tribal Language and Culture of Manipur&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Manipur State Kala Akademi, 1976), 163; T. Gougin, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;History of Zomi&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Lamka, India: T. Gougin, 1984), 67ff; Suhas Chatterjee, &amp;#039;&amp;#039; Mizo Chiefs and the Chiefdom&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (New Delhi, India: M. D. Publications Pvt. Ltd., 1995), 445, {{ISBN|81-85880-72-7}}; and others.&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;  He was known as the then leader of all [[Zo people]] as Carey and Tuck also noted him as the Yo (correct Zo people) Chief of Mwelpi (correct Mualpi).&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt; Bertram S. He succeeded his father, his lordship Prince Mang Suum II, in 1855, and moved the capital to fortified city of Mualpi of present [[Tonzang]] township of Chin State.
