He started his political career on 6 December 2006 from [[Rashtriya Samaj Paksha]] under the inspiration of [[Mahadev Jankar]].{{citation needed|date=August 2021}} He contested Maharashtra Assembly election in 2009 from [[Rashtriya Samaj Paksha]] u and got 20,000 votes.{{citation needed|date=August 2021}}<br />

In 2012 he joined [[Bhartiya Janata Party]] and contested 2014 assembly election from [[Khanapur (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Atpadi-Khanapur constituency]]. After that he rejoined BJP in October 2019 when BJP submitted in court that Dhangar and Dhangad were a single caste. He unsuccessfully contested [[Lok Sabha]] Elections from [[Sangli (Lok Sabha constituency)|Sangali Lok Sabha seat]] in 2019 on [[Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi]] ticket. He again rejoined BJP and contested Vidhan Sabha elections from [[Baramati (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Baramati]] against [[Ajit Pawar]], where he gave a tough fight only 15 days after declaring his nomination. He lost by 1.5L, so his election deposit was arrested by the election commission.<br />
