Government Arya Degree College Nurpur was established as Arya College for Girls in June 1978 as a private college.<ref>{{cite web|title=Govt. The college was taken over by the [[Government of Himachal Pradesh]] on June 25, 2002, and was renamed Government Arya Degree College Nurpur. It was converted into a co-educational institute with only an arts stream as the only program. The science and commerce streams started from the academic session 2009-2010. <br />

As of June 2017, a Bachelor of Vocation Degree (B.
