The college is recognised by [[University Grants Commission (India)|UGC]] and is affiliated to [[Mohan Lal Sukhadia University]], [[Udaipur]]. The college was established in 1957 as an arts and commerce college and later it added science classes. The college now provides undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science and postgraduate courses in Science (Chemistry) and Arts (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History and Political Science).
