On January 23, 1992, Gurdeep Singh Deepa attacked [[Bharatiya Janata Party|BJP]] President [[Murli Manohar Joshi|Muril Manohar Joshi&amp;#039;s]] caravan. The caravan was a part of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Ekta Yatra]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. The attack happened in [[Phagwara]]. As the caravan entered Phagwara the lead bus was attacked by Deepa and another with Ak-47&amp;#039;s. They had disguised themselves as police officers. 3 were killed.
