Dr. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;H. R. Vishwasa&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (also written &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;H. R. Vishwas&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;) is a [[Sanskrit]] scholar residing in Mangalore, India.&amp;lt;ref name=mangalorean/&amp;gt; He won a [[Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize]] in 2010 for translating [[S. L. Bhyrappa]]&amp;#039;s [[Kannada]] novel &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Aavarana]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; into Sanskrit.&amp;lt;ref name=mang/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

He has been involved with [[Sanskrit revival]].  He was the editor of the Sanskrit monthly magazine &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sambhashana Sandesha&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, for five years.&amp;lt;ref name=mang/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;ref name=bori/&amp;gt; He is the &amp;quot;Akhil Bharatiya Prashikshan Pramukh&amp;quot; (All-India Chief of Teaching) as well as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Prakashana Pramukh&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Chief of Publishing) of the organisation [[Samskrita Bharati]], and was on the working committee of the first World Sanskrit Book Fair, held in January 2011.&amp;lt;ref name=org/&amp;gt;&amp;lt;ref name=wsb/&amp;gt; He was one of the teachers in a Sanskrit-teaching series that was commissioned by the [[Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan]] and was broadcast on [[DD Bharati]] and later on [[Gyan Darshan]]. He wrote a weekly column, &amp;quot;Sangata&amp;quot;, for the newspaper [[Hosa Digantha]]. He was also in the Karnataka government committee deciding Sanskrit syllabus for classes 5 to 7.&amp;lt;ref name=org/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

He has an [[M.A. degree|M.A.]] in Sanskrit and a doctorate from [[Kuvempu University]], as well as a [[Vidwat]] degree.&amp;lt;ref name=mang/&amp;gt; His wife Shantala also works for Samskrita Bharati.&amp;lt;ref name=org/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

His translation of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Avarana]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; took six months&amp;lt;ref name=dha/&amp;gt; and was released in November 2008.&amp;lt;ref name=oi/&amp;gt; His Kannada book &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Matte Hottitu [[Hebrew]] Hanate&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was released by the Kannada scholar [[G. Venkatasubbaiah]],&amp;lt;ref name=hgv/&amp;gt; and was briefly on the best-seller list in 2006.&amp;lt;ref name=hbs/&amp;gt; He also translated Bhyrappa&amp;#039;s &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Parva (novel)|Parva]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; into Sanskrit, which was released in 2012.&amp;lt;ref name=hparva/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
He won the Sahitya Akademi&amp;#039;s &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Bala Sahitya Puraskar&amp;#039;&amp;#039; for the year 2013,{{Citation needed|date=June 2023}} for &amp;quot;Marjalasya Mukham Drishtam&amp;quot;, a book of plays.&amp;lt;ref name=bal2013/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
