In 2005, HLL established [[LifeSpring Hospitals]], a 50-50 [[joint venture]] with the [[Acumen Fund]], a U.S.-based [[Nonprofit organization|nonprofit]] global venture [[philanthropy]] fund, to provide low-cost maternity services, starting at [[Hyderabad, India|Hyderabad]].
