==Demographics==&lt;br /&gt;
{{As of|2001}} India [[census]], the town had a population of 15,128 of which 8,102 were males while 7,026 were females as per report released by Census India 2001.&lt;br /&gt;

==History==&lt;br /&gt;
Hansari constituted a substantial [[jagir]], comprising fifty villages within India during the British Raj, and was administratively integrated into the [[Bundelkhand]] Agency of Central India. Governed by the Dauwanshi Thakur clan of [[Yaduvanshi Aheer|Yaduvanshi]] Kshatriya, it constituted an inseparable part of the princely state of [[Orchha]], ceded to the [[Yaduvanshi Aheer|Yaduvanshi]] Kshatriya by the rulers of Orchha in 1779. In 1930, the British authorities conferred the honorific title of Raja upon the jagirdars of Hansari.&lt;br /&gt;

[[Dada Narayan Singh]] was a notable member of this  family. He was awarded  with the title of His Highness &amp;quot;Raja Saheb&amp;quot; by the British Raj.  During his political career Dada Narayan Singh had close relations with former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Dada Narayan Singh&amp;#039;s only child was his daughter kunwari shaiba Smt. Sudha Singh. Dada Narayan Singh adopted his nephew (sister&amp;#039;s son) Surendra Singh ji (Raja Saheb Surendra Singh) as his successor of Hansari jagir. &lt;br /&gt;
