'''Hara''' is a village in [[Dhar Kalan]] in [[Gurdaspur district]] of [[Punjab, India|Punjab]] [[States and territories of India|State]], India. It is located {{convert|30|km}} from sub district headquarter, {{convert|13|km}} from [[Pathankot]], {{convert|60|km}} from district headquarter and {{convert|253|km}} from state capital [[Chandigarh]]. The village is [[Administration (government)|administrated]] by [[Sarpanch]] an elected representative of the village.

== Demography ==
{{as of|2011}}, The village has a total number of 1256 houses and the population of 6800 of which 3686 are males while 3114 are females according to the report [[published]] by [[Census India]] in 2011. The literacy rate of the village is 83.52%, highest than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 761 which is 11.19% of total population of the village, and child sex ratio is approximately 834 higher than the state average of 846.<ref name=DCHB>{{cite web|url=http://www.censusindia.gov.in/2011census/dchb/DCHB_Village_Release_0300.xlsx|title=DCHB Village Release|work=[[Census of India, 2011]]}}</ref>

Most of the people are from Schedule Caste which constitutes 14.18% of total population in the village. The town does not have any Schedule Tribe population so far.<ref name=DCHB />

As per census 2011, 1958 people were engaged in work activities out of the total population of the village which includes 1691 males and 267 females. According to census survey report 2011, 90.30% workers describe their work as main work and 9.70% workers are involved in marginal activity providing the livelihood for less than 6 months.<ref name=DCHB />
