In the former Yugoslavia, the ISKCON movement has been present since the 1970s and has existed in Bosnia-Herzegovina since 1988. It was officially registered as a religious community in 2005. ISKCON&amp;#039;s [[Hare Krishna Food for Life|Food for life]] was famous in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During war period in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ISKCON devotees in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina visited [[orphanage]]s, homes for the elderly, hospitals, institutes for handicapped children, and basement shelters daily, throughout the three year conflict. An estimated 20 tons of food has been distributed in Sarajevo since 1992.&lt;br /&gt;
