The founding [[editor-in-chief]] of the journal was Vanmali Saran Maglik ([[Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University|King George Medical College]], 1958–1960). Later editors were H. I. Jhala (1961–1967), [[Vulimiri Ramalingaswami]] (1968–1969), H. D. Tandon (1970–1972), B. K. Aikat (1973–1978), H.I. Jhala (1979–1982), S. Nagalotimath (1983–1987), K. S. Ratnakar (1988–1992), V. H. Talib (1993–1997), S. K. Shahi (1998–2002), and Harsh Mohan (2003–2007). The current editor is S. Satyanarayana.<br />
