Shri Iyyunni Chalakka was born on 15 October 1890. His father was Shri Rappayi. He was educated at C.M.S. High School, Trichur, [[Maharaja's College, Ernakulam]], [[Madras Christian College]], Madras and Law College, Trivandrum.<br />
