The party fielded nine candidates in the October 2009 [[Jharkhand Legislative Assembly]] election. One was elected: [[Geeta Koda]], who was the JBSP candidate in the [[Jaganathpur (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Jaganathpur constituency]].
