The CPI(M) loyalists were called TGTA (H.G.B. Road) and TTA (H.G.B. Road) whereas the followers of Biswas were called TGTA ([[Ajoy Biswas]]) and TTA ([[Ajoy Biswas]]).<br />

Biswas later broke with PDF and formed [[Tripura Ganatantrik Manch]].<br />
