J. S. Yadav was born on 4 August 1950 at [[Azamgarh]], a town in the eastern border of the Indian state of [[Uttar Pradesh]] and after completing his early schooling locally, he did his graduate and master&amp;#039;s studies at [[Banaras Hindu University]] in 1968.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;Dr. Jhillu Singh Yadav – Scientist par excellence - A Tribute&amp;quot;&amp;gt;{{Cite journal |last=S.
