==Club career==
Sunny started playing football with [[Golden Threads FC|Golden Threads]], a football club based in [[Kochi]], [[Kerala]]. Then he moved to [[FC Kerala]] before joing [[Hyderabad FC]]. He represented [[Hyderabad FC Reserves and Academy|Hyderabad youth team]] at the [[Reliance Foundation Development League|RD Development League]] for [[2021–22 in Indian football|2021–22 season]]. He played six matches and scored a goal. In 2022, he was promoted to the [[Hyderabad FC Reserves and Academy|reserve team]] of Hyderabad (as Hyderabad B). He played the [[2022–23 in Indian football|2022–23 season]] for Hyderabad B at the [[2022–23 I-League 2nd Division]], the third tier league of Indian football. For [[2023–24 in Indian football|2023–24 season]], he was promoted to the main team and made his debut at the [[Indian Super League]] (ISL), the top tier league of Indian football.
