Achutha Menon Government College]], [[Thrissur]], and [[Sree Narayana College, Nattika]]. Rajendran holds a B.A. degree and a [[Bachelor of Laws|LLB]] degree from [[Kerala Law Academy]] [[Law College]], [[Thiruvananthapuram]]. Before entering into politics he was a student leader and [[trade union]] worker.
