&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is located in [[Kaimur District]] of [[Bihar]], near the town of [[Bhabhua]]. It is the largest sanctuary in the state and occupies an area of about {{cvt|1342|km2}}. This Sanctuary located in the [[Kaimur Range]]. In the valley portions there are several [[waterfall]]s of which the finest are [[Karkat Waterfall]] and [[Telhar]]. There are several lakes, including [[Anupam Lake]].&lt;br /&gt;

The best time to visit is October and June.&lt;br /&gt;

==Fauna==&lt;br /&gt;
The main animals found at Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary are [[Bengal tiger]]s, [[Indian leopard]]s, [[Indian boar]]s, [[sloth bear]]s, [[sambar deer]]s, [[chital]]s, [[four-horned antelope]] and [[nilgai]]s.  It is home to more than 70 species of resident birds, which stay here all year around. The number increases in the migratory season i.e. during the winters, when there is an influx of birds from the [[Central Asia]]n region.&lt;br /&gt;

Common [[bird]]s species are [[peafowl]], [[grey partridge]], [[quail]], Malabar, [[Malabar pied hornbill|pied hornbill]], [[swallow]], [[nightjar]], [[drongo]], [[paradise flycatcher]], [[kingfisher]], [[bulbul]], [[mynas]], [[pigeon]], [[Common wood pigeon|wood pigeon]], [[blue jay]], [[owl]], [[falcon]], [[Kite (bird)|kites]], [[eastern imperial eagle]], [[greater spotted eagle]], [[white-tailed eagle]], [[Pallas&amp;#039;s fish eagle]], [[grey-headed fish eagle]], and the [[lesser kestrel]] and [[vulture]]s.&lt;br /&gt;

Birds such as the [[lesser white-fronted goose]], [[ferruginous duck]], [[Baer&amp;#039;s pochard]] [[duck]] and [[lesser adjutant]], [[greater adjutant]], [[black-necked stork]], and [[Asian openbill]] [[stork]] migrate from [[Central Asia]] to the park during winter.&lt;br /&gt;

[[Fish]]es are found in [[Anupam Lake]] and Kalidah near Rameshwar kund. Among [[snake]]s, [[cobra]] and [[krait]]s are of common occurrence while [[Pythonidae|python]]s are occasionally seen.&lt;br /&gt;
