Jameela was born on 5 May in Kuttiady village of Kozhikode district, as daughter of Thacharkandy Ali and Mariyam, into a Muslim family. She had 5 siblings namely, Jamal , Kareem , Asiya(deceased) , Rabiya and Naseer.<br />

She is married to Abdul Rahman and has two children, namely , Ayreej and Anooja.<br />
