The film stars [[Sathyan (actor)|Sathyan]], [[Ambika Sukumaran]] and [[Kamal Haasan]], while [[Sukumari]] and debutant [[Vinodini Sasimohan|Vinodini]] play supporting roles. It was about a child Babu (Kamal Haasan) writing letters to his mother who he thought was in heaven.&lt;br /&gt;
