&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Katchal&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Katchall, Katchál, Kachel), or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Tehnu (Tēhnyu)&amp;#039;&amp;#039;,&amp;lt;ref name=Man&amp;gt;Edward Horace Man, 1889, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A dictionary of the central Nicobarese language&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; is a [[Nicobarese language]] spoken in the central [[Nicobar Islands]]. Apart from the dialect of Trinket&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Robert Parkin, 1991, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A guide to austroasiatic speakers and their languages&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, pp 37–38&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; (Trinkat, Trinkut, or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Lâfūl&amp;#039;&amp;#039;),&amp;lt;ref name=Man/&amp;gt; it is not mutually intelligible with the other Central Nicobarese languages. The population of Trinket was evacuated to Nancowry and Camorta after the [[2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami|2004 tsunami]], and can be expected to disappear as speakers assimilate.&lt;br /&gt;
