A sizeable portion of the village falls on [[Kottamkara|Kottamkara Panchayath]] and remaining on [[Perinad|Perinad Panchayath.]] The place is a junction on [[NH 744]] were [[Ayoor]] Road, Mampuzha Road and Edavattom Road meets.
