Mumtaz started her literary career with &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Athmatheerthangalil Munginivarnnu&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, which was first published as a [[serial novel]] in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Chandrika Weekly|Chandrika]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; weekly and later as a book by Current Books in 2004.
