&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Khonsa&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is the headquarters of the [[Tirap district]] in the [[India]]n [[States and territories of India|state]] of [[Arunachal Pradesh]]. It also houses Ramakrishna Sarada Mission School and Christ the King ICSE School. The [[Nocte people]], a Wancho tribe, are the indigenous inhabitants. The town is cosmopolitan in nature, with citizens from multiple Indian states being found here. It is 43km away from [[Deomali]], a census town.&lt;br /&gt;

Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Khonsa has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 65%. In Khonsa, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.&lt;br /&gt;

Male inhabitants number 5768 while female inhabitants number 4160. 11.27% of the population is younger than 6 years. The majority of the people are Christians, mostly Baptist, although some are Roman Catholics. There are relatively few animists.
