== History ==

[[MEMU]] sheds in [[Kollam]] and [[Palakkad]] were proposed in 2008's Indian Railway Budget. The MEMU Carshed in [[Kollam]] currently conducting periodic overhauling activities for two different types of rakes manufactured by [[Integral Coach Factory|ICF]], Chennai:
