== Biography ==
K. Sree Krishna, born on 15 October 1958, in the south Indian state of [[Andhra Pradesh]], graduated in science from [[Andhra University]] in 1979 and completed his master's degree in geophysics from the same university in 1982.<ref name="Faculty profile">{{Cite web |url=http://www.nio.org/index/option/com_researcherdisplay/task/show/tid/2/sid/69/rid/855 |title=Faculty profile |date=2016 |publisher=National Institute of Oceanography}}</ref> He started his career as a seismologist at Geophysical Service Inc., a subsidiary of [[Texas Instruments]], in 1983 when the company was involved in the hydrocarbon explorations in the basins of [[Krishna Godavari Basin|Krishna-Godavari]] and [[Cauveri]] rivers and spent one year with the company.<ref name="Dr. K.S.
