During [[Eastern Chalukyas|Chalukya]] period, Kotasattemma temple was constructed by Chalukya Veerabadhra, the spouse of [[Rudrama Devi]]. The idol of Kotasattemma was immersed by several calamities during the [[Reddy dynasty]].
