The main vegetation of the sanctuary consists of dense moist deciduous forests with grasslands. The floral diversity of the sanctuary consists of 650 plant species that include [[angiosperms]], [[pteridophyte]]s, [[gymnosperm]]s, [[bryophyte]]s, [[lichen]]s and [[fungus|fungi]]. The dominant flora includes [[Shorea robusta|Sal]], [[Pterocarpus marsupium|Piasal]], [[Dalbergia sissoo|Sisoo]], [[Diospyros melanoxylon|Kendu]], [[Gmelina arborea|Gamhar]], [[Terminalia elliptica|Asan]], [[Schleichera|Kusum]], [[Terminalia chebula|Harida]], [[Terminalia bellirica|Bahada]], [[Phyllanthus emblica|Amala]], [[Mangifera indica|Mango]], [[Tamarind]], [[Madhuca longifolia|Mahua]], [[Jackfruit]], Randhan, Kangada, [[Syzygium cumini|Jamun]], Salapo, Bheru, [[Terminalia arjuna|Arjun]], [[Buchanania lanzan|Char]], [[Anogeissus latifolia|Dhaura]] and [[Strychnos nux-vomica|Kochila]].
